Your challenges
"Thanks to on-demand transport services (DRT and Paratransit), new ways of managing and guaranteeing access to a more inclusive and sustainable mobility can be put in place. Means that allow a gradual transition to low-carbon travel, reduce the impact of the private car, improve access to employment and service areas."
There are real barriers to mobility in sparsely populated areas, even for the most trivial journeys of daily life. In these areas, shopping, going to the doctor or the hairdresser requires travel. The car is often the only mode of transport available.
Low densities, complex mobility, and long distances make peri-urban and rural areas particularly difficult to serve with traditional public transport. Nevertheless, it is a privileged area for the development of Demand-Responsive Transport. Its flexibility of operation and speed of implementation allow it to adapt to the constraints of these areas, all at an affordable cost for small communities.
