FYT Bus and SCiA Paratransit (Transport des Personnes à Mobilité Réduite), in partnership with Padam Mobility, have developed a new joint application "FYT and SCIA Booking" to allow their clients to book their rides.
This innovation in public transport in the Solent region has been made possible thanks to support from the Solent Future Transport Zone (FTZ) program, funded by the UK Department for Transport. Working closely with FYT Bus and SCiA Paratransit, the Solent FTZ will monitor and evaluate the benefits of Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) solutions. This valuable information will help shape the national transport offer.
The FYT on-demand bus, also known as the "Route E afternoon service" or West Wight FYT bus, will run only in the afternoon, meeting the transportation needs of residents and tourists alike. This on-demand service is designed to offer convenience and flexibility. The bus can make virtual stops and several fixed points alongitinerary. Passengers will benefit from a new level of convenience, and will be able to reach their destination smoothly.

In addition, SCiA will optimize the Paratransit service. This service aims to improve the accessibility of public transport in and around Southampton by enabling real-time bookings via a website, call center and mobile app. The collaboration with Padam Mobility will increase efficiency, streamline booking processes and simplify administration for users of the Southampton Paratransit service. Passengers can expect an enhanced and more user-friendly experience, making travel in the city and beyond more accessible than ever. The service can only be used by registered users.
