In March, BUS Ostschweiz AG launched SALÜ, a DRT service in Wil, Switzerland. A booking website as well as a mobile application are available for users to book rides.

The new service serves the residents of Wil, Wilen, Bronschhofen and Rossrüti in the evening from 8 p.m. with flexible shuttles to and from the train station and is adapted to the train schedules. During the week, the service can be used until 11:30 p.m., on Fridays and at weekends until 12:30 a.m. On Sundays, rides are currently not offered. Last minute bookings include a waiting time of approximately 5 to 15 minutes. However, it is also possible to book in advance (maximum 7 days).

Users can search, book and pay directly for the ride of their choice in the SALÜ application. Currently, more than 100 virtual stops are available in the service area.

As with the Wiler Abendntaxi previously used, a public transport ticket is required, on which there is a surcharge of CHF 3. Tickets can be purchased before the trip by credit card or at the ticket machine at the Wiler train station. It is also possible to pay the fare supplement directly in the vehicle with Twint.
