“This new innovative service will offer a flexible, fast and environmentally friendly service that will meet the mobility needs of residents and employees in the less densely populated areas of the urban area, and will thus make connection possible inbetween suburbs, which is currently difficult with the network of classic bus lines.”

Equipped with a fleet of 100% electric vehicles, the Demand-Responsive Transport Flex'Hop servicereinforces the CTS's urban transport offer and the CTBR67intercity bus service. This offers a travel solution that aims to better serve suburban communities, facilitate travel to the outskirts and between municipalities not connected to the bus and tramway networks, and ease connection to structural transport networks. Flex'Hop also makes it possible tooptimise resources and rides and to provide accessible and reassuring tools for users when making their bookings. The service also saves a considerable amount of time when traveling within the Eurometropolis.

Initially tested in 13 rural and peri-urban communities in the western and southwestern perimeter of the Eurometropolis, the service has been extended to 25 municipalities since March 1, 2021. In February 2021, during the experimental phase, 1,300 to 1,400 people benefited from the service each week.
