SLIDE, demand-responsive transport service in Bristol

In Bristol, UK, Padam Mobility experimented the Slide on-demand shuttle service with RATPDev. Based on an application, the service allowed users to book a ride to work or home during peak hours.

Launched as a pilot project in 2016, the Slide service recorded more than 40 000 rides in one of the UK’s most congested cities. Its trial ends in November 2018.

Bristol Slide

Slide Bristol was the first Demand-Responsive Transport service to be launched in the UK, and we are proud to have worked with the local community to provide this service to users. Slide has proved extremely popular, covering over 210,000 kilometres over a two-year period and achieving an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 from users for its drivers and service.
