ResaGo, Demand-Responsive Transport and Paratransit service in Châlons-en-Champagne

In Châlons-en-Champagne, with Keolis, Padam Mobility is responding to the mobility and digitalisation challenges of the urban area by offering a smart and universal shared mobility service composed of a DRT service and a Paratransit service. The RésaGo services complement the conurbation’s existing bus offer and meet two main use cases:

• First and last mile services: to facilitate travel to and from Châlons-en-Champagne train station at specific times, particularly when conventional bus lines are no longer in service.

• Service to business areas: to facilitate the travels of the working population to activity and business areas during off-peak hours.

The DRT service is composed of a fleet of 3 vehicles, operated in fixed and virtual lines. As for the Paratransit service, it is composed of a 9-seater vehicle operated according to a door-to-door configuration, with specific pick-up times per user to guarantee an adapted accompaniment.

Why Padam Mobility?

• Automation of the operation and in particular of the allocation of bookings.

• Ability of algorithms to optimise passenger polling within the vehicles and journey times under constraint (feeder).

• Flexibility of the solution.

• Ability to progressively increase the number of services with constant resources.

• Possibility to introduce real-time booking at any time and with ease and to increase the user experience.

• Ergonomics and user-friendliness of the solutions that facilitate access to the services and enable users (especially PRM users) to make their bookings autonomously.

Résago has enabled us to succeed in the challenge of a more inclusive and accessible mobility. By pooling a “general public” DRT service and a Paratransit service, we are offering a 100% universal service that provides the same travel opportunities to everyone.
