Since July 2019, the Cotentin Urban area experiments a new Demand-Responsive Transport service called La Saire TAD, to boost its rural mobility and ease the access to Cherbourg city centre from its outlying (mainly sparsely populated) areas.
In collaboration with Padam Mobility, the new La Saire TAD service made it possible to transport nearly 1,000 users in the first few weeks of experimentation, 10 times more than a conventional DRT.
How did Le Cotentin Urban Area boost its rural mobility thanks to Demand-Responsive Transport? How did Padam Mobility Demand-Responsive Transport solution respond to its rural mobility needs?
