This project aims to improve mobility in the metropolitan area of Malaga, including Cártama, Alhaurín el Grande and, soon, Benalmádena.

The new Avanza platform - DRT was launched on March 23, 2023 and offers an efficient and accessible transportation solution for all users, also adapting to people with reduced mobility. The main objective is to facilitate access to the Valle de Guadalhorce Hospital and improve mobility in the towns of Cártama, Alhaurín el Grande and, from April 10, in Benalmádena.

Avanza has been operating a Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) service in Malaga since 2018. In March of this year, it began working with Padam Mobility, with the aim of continuing to offer a quality service, increasingly adapted to the needs of the user: now, travelers can book their rides also through a website and a more intuitive and comprehensive application. In addition, with the incorporation of Benalmádena, the service extends even further into the province, improving mobility and facilitating access to essential services.

The Avanza - DRT service has two vehicles, and soon four with Benalmádena. The hours of the service vary depending on the territory: in Alhaurín el Grande, it operates from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, while in Cártama, it operates from Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Currently, the service carries 1,340 monthly riders in Cártama and 328 monthly riders in Alhaurín el Grande. Thanks to its adaptive approach and its ability to overcome the unique geographic challenges of the province of Málaga, these numbers are expected to increase as the service expands.
